How much does garbage disposal installation cost?

The price is made up of two parts that are worth separating: the unit itself and the labour.

How much does the installation itself cost?

• Delivery and installation — ₪400. Existing sink, existing power outlet.
• With siphon replacement — ₪450. Needed when the existing siphon is old or unsuitable.
• Adapter for stone sinks — ₪300. Only if the sink is stone or granite.

How much does the disposal itself cost?

The market range is wide, and it's set mainly by motor power and warranty:

• ₪1,400–1,700 — 3/4 to 1 HP motor. Suitable for most families.
• ₪2,200 — 1.25 HP models, quieter and more powerful.
• ₪3,100–3,400 — InSinkErator, with a warranty of up to 7 years.

What affects the final price?

Three things, and you can check them yourself: whether there's a power outlet under the sink, the type of sink, and how much free space there is in the cabinet. Without a power outlet, adding a point is needed, and that's the factor that changes the most.

If you're given a price without anyone looking

A price given without knowing whether there's power and what type of sink it is, is a guess. Send a photo of under your sink on WhatsApp — we'll come back with a final price, with no surprises on installation day.
